I've had my Kindle for a year and a half and all this time it's been without a cover. My Kindle has a name ("Kris Kindle") but I've been forcing it to go naked all this time! I was using an old padded envelope as a sort of ghetto-cover, but what I really wanted was one of those fancy New Yorker covers. Last week they went on sale over at M-Edge and I threw my credit card number across the internet in hopes of securing one before I left for my trip to Georgia this weekend. Friends, it arrived today and it is everything I'd hoped for.
One of my co-workers said, as I opened the package, "that's easily the most hipster thing you own."
I will have you all know that I've been a New Yorker subscriber for over ten years. That easily pre-dates the hipster appropriation of my favorite magazine. I'm also far too lame and old to be a proper hipster.
